25 Year Anniversary Celebration

Join us to celebrate twenty-five years since our opening.

It is hard to imagine where a quarter of a century has passed since our opening on the 31st of May 1994. It seems like a lifetime ago that Arthur Jenner (One of our members) teed off at 5am in front of hundreds of enthusiastic members, who were raring to go. We sat around, eating strawberries and cream in the late afternoon, they are fond memories.

We have put together an incredible team in all aspects of the business, we trust you are satisfied with our efforts. We have developed the club in such a way, that allows substantial on-going investment. Members are pleased with the standards being achieved on the Golf Course, and under the control and supervision of our new Head Greenkeeper Stewart Rogers, it is very easy to see the progress that has been made. Our new Head Pro Michael Jones has formed a solid association with the membership, offering a new dimension to his golf tuition. We will not be complacent and will continue to strive to achieve better standards. We want you to be proud of being a member of Crondon Park, and as a result, you will want to bring your families and friends here.

It has been an interesting period, but with the benefit of time and investment, we have managed to turn Crondon Park into a popular venue and a highly successful business. We recently were winners of “the Best Countryside Wedding Venue in Britain”, what an achievement, so proud.  We now stage over two hundred weddings a year. Under the competent daily control of Debbie Mead, our General Manager, we have managed to put Crondon Park onto a new level. we are now considered one of the leading venues in the sport and entertainment category.

With the recent opening of bedroom accommodation, visitors are impressed with the comfort of our facilities. Our Estate Manager Steve Thorne has been with us since the inception. His Son Scott (Who was a baby when Steve joined us) gets married here later this year, that will be an emotional day for all of us. We owe Steve a debt of gratitude for his tremendous efforts. Our catering team is now headed up by Paul Groves, we are now achieving really high standards of catering. We recently installed a new kitchen in the Golf Clubhouse, to cope with Sunday Lunches, meetings, parties and members functions etc. We can now offer tasty and quality cuisine at a reasonable cost.

As a member, you are invited on Friday the 31st of May, from 8am to 4pm daily, through to Sunday the 2nd of June. Join us for breakfast or lunch, from the Clubhouse Menu, or off the Specials board, and have a drink of your choice on us.
