Welcome to Crondon Park, a family-owned premier wedding destination nestled in the heart of the Essex Countryside. Our story began in October 1989 when we were introduced to the previous owner, the late Robert Orr. The Orr family, with a longstanding history of farming Crondon Valley, originally owned the estate, and we owe them a debt of gratitude for their invaluable assistance in obtaining planning consent.
From there, Crondon Park Golf Club officially opened its doors on the 31st of May 1994, marking the culmination of years of development. Following on from the success of our golf club, where we’ve proudly hosted prestigious golf tournaments, including Royal Variety Club charity events with well-known celebrities and PGA tournaments- we expanded into the award winning wedding venue we know and love today. Essex is blessed with over 120 venues licensed to hold civil ceremonies across the county. From 17th-century barns to stately homes and castles, and we are proud to have been voted the best.
At Crondon Park, we’re proud to be home to one of the most beautiful and popular barn wedding venues in Essex. The Baronial Hall, was built back in 1606 and is still considered one of the finest examples of a Tudor barn, winning Highly Commended in the Barn Wedding Venue category and Best British Countryside Wedding Venue at the British Wedding Awards. Over time Crondon Park has evolved into a versatile venue, the Baronial Hall, has emerged as one of Essex’s most sought-after function spaces, hosting over two hundred weddings annually. We’ve also expanded with the addition of the Masters Lounge, Fayreways Restaurant, and six luxurious onsite bedrooms.
Looking into the future, our ambitious master plan includes the development of a Hotel, Leisure Centre, and Housing Development, positioning Crondon Park Estate as the premier leisure venue in Essex. We pride ourselves on being ‘The Venue for all Occasions,’ and our management team is unwavering in its determination to achieve perfection.

We had our big day! Us and our guests absolutely loved the grounds, rooms, facilities and food at Crondon Park. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Events team, every single one of them were amazing, especially Kara and Carly, we appreciate all that you have done for us leading up to the wedding and on the day, you’re both super stars! Don’t even know where to start because our day was so magical and smooth despite the storm and heavy wind. We had our wedding on 2nd November. The venue is amazing. Beautiful surroundings and easy access. Above all they have super talented and experienced staff members who will go above and beyond to run your day smoothly. Everyone has been so amazing from the food ( the portions are generous and tasty), following my details decoration instructions to music .. everything is faultless. Ellie has been amazing since the beginning to communicate with me. Because of her dedication, we decided to pick the venue. And Jo on my big day, word can’t be described how much we thanks to her. What an amazing woman who make our day run smoothly with big smile on her face. She gave me courage to walk down on the aisle with comfort .. the storm and heavy wind couldn’t bother us at all.. we want to celebrate our big day all over again as long as it’s “Crondon Park”❤️
