Willows Edge (Par 3 Course)
A short distance from the Clubhouse is Willows Edge par 3 Course. Please don’t be fooled by the relatively short distances, it is a formidable challenge of golf. The course has been designed to make one use the full selection of irons, for mid to low handicappers and rescue clubs for high handicappers.
We have positioned Willows Edge around our main reservoir, so you are very close to water, with views across the Championship Course. In the summer holidays, our professionals hold regular academy competitions on Willows Edge for young enthusiasts, we have some extremely good young prodigies. That is the best time to learn how to play this most difficult and frustrating game.
What is also a great training aid for those that do not have the time to play the full course, or need to sharpen up their short game? If the main course is busy, this is the perfect place to warm up while you are waiting for your tee time on the Championship Course.
Many of our golf societies and corporate clients, use Willows Edge as a warm up course, or if they have a par 3 challenge. Of course if you have a meeting in the morning, it is nice to clear the cobwebs with a few holes in the afternoon. Just being next to our main lake, surrounded by nature, is most relaxing.
In the summer months and when schools are on holiday, we have many families who join together and play Willows Edge, for a fun round. If you want your child to take up golf, it is recommended that they get tuition at an early age. Our professionals have playing lessons on both courses, but the short course and floodlit driving range are probably the best starting points.
Once you have finished playing, you are welcome to join us in the Golfers Bar and Restaurant, where there is a selection of hot and cold meals being served from our own in house catering, and all the refreshments you would expect to find. We look forward to entertaining you.
