Spring is a beautiful time of year to hold a wedding, and with a blend of indoor and outdoor space available, Crondon Park is the ideal venue for these months.
Set in the gorgeous Crondon Valley, you can make the most of the season, with breath-taking views across the Essex countryside and our championship golf course. We go above and beyond to make sure your day is perfect, taking care of everything from the venue itself, to accommodation, catering, and those all-important finishing touches.
Why opt for a spring wedding?
With the days pulling out, the temperatures warming up, and flowers in bloom, it’s no surprise that spring is a popular time of year to tie the knot. A beautiful floral backdrop makes for wonderful photos, and there’s a good chance it will be warm enough that you and your guests will be able to spend at least some of your time outdoors.
Spring is also a great time of year for honeymoons. Naturally it depends where you’d like to go, but many popular destinations abroad will have great weather in spring, while allowing you to avoid the very hottest summer temperatures. It’s also a great way to avoid the inevitable crowds associated with the summer holidays.
If you’re thinking of having a spring wedding, remember to consider the annual bank holidays – these can work in your favour, just remember to give your guests plenty of notice, as people tend to make plans for these weekends in advance.View Our Venue

We’ll take care of the entire catering for your wedding, from the formal three-course meal, to your glass of bubbly at reception, to the evening buffet, coffee and mints. We even include a Full English breakfast the next morning for you and your guests.
To allow you to experience the quality and presentation of our cuisine in advance of the big day, we also offer a food tasting experience. What to wear to a spring wedding?
Whether you’re the bride, or a guest, different seasons often bring with them different colour schemes and fashions. Spring weddings often conjure up images of bridesmaids in pastel dresses, whilst for guests, florals are always popular at this time of year. Ultimately, it’s up to you; pick the dress or the style that you feel works best for your wedding.
Spring flowers for wedding
One of the best things about spring weddings are how many different flowers are in bloom. If you’re planning to take advantage of this – whether for your table centrepieces, bridal bouquets, or even to wear in your hair, popular spring flowers include anemones, tulips, sweet peas, peonies, hyacinths, narcissi, lily of the valley and of course, tulips. You’ll be spoilt for choice!
Spring colours for weddings
Pastel shades are synonymous with spring weddings, but other popular colour schemes include lemon hues, which are becoming increasingly popular. Cool mint shades have enjoyed a moment too, and warm, cheerful colours like coral will always be popular when it comes to weddings.

“We got married at Crondon last Friday and we cannot find the words to express how truly amazing our day was. We did the booking and planning through Fiona who was lovely and on the day we had Deborah who was just incredible - nothing was too much trouble and she really put us both at ease. The food was amazing and all of our guests commented on this as well as the beautiful venue. Wish we could do it all again. Thanks so much to everyone for really making this the best day of our lives.”
